Thrift hunting.

I actually had a really good afternoon.
I walked to The Brass Armadillo and I went by myself.
I was there from 3:30 PM until 6:50 PM.
I found so much cute stuff! I was disappointed that they really
only have two vintage booths with 60's-70's items.
I stayed there the longest.
Anyway, I know I said I would include DIY project ideas but the time is
12:48 AM and I am one tired lady.
So, I shall include that in another post soon.

For now, Take a gander at some pretty things that I found.
I didn't have money to buy anything but I know I'll be going back to make
purchases!

Thrifty (Antique) Finds:

This adorable cat trinket! I saw so many there and for some reason I love them.
They had deers, skunks, and owls. So so cute!

This Indian portrait has flaws in it. The eyes are all messed up but that is why I like it. I have a thing for Native American styled things. They are so pretty. It's hand drawn too!

I probably wouldn't put these on my kitchen table. (Yes, they are salt & pepper shakers) But I think they are so cute. How they hug like that when they are not in use. Definitely old looking.

 This picture isn't very good.
But the coasters have little mexican women and men on them doing things outside or for their land. And the brown one is just flowers. I love how different they are.

This looks like a suit case but it is actually a lunch box! I love the floral print!

This tin is not only adorable on the outside it has two small plates on the inside with the same print. I guess they could be coasters but they said plates. I would use them for cupcakes or something if I could find a set. Good dishware for tea parties!

This suitcase is unique. The cut outs are based on gardening but I still thought it was a pretty neat find. It just looks personal. I could add my own touches to the suitcase or maybe start one of my own. It's good inspiration!

I know the picture looks cheesy but the phrase on it was so sweet that I had to take a picture. It says "There is so much beauty to discover."

I love buying mugs. Especially ones from thrift stores. These are so fun. The handles and inside are bright bright orange and the outside has business men and things. Love love them!

The picture doesn't really do this pretty piece justice. It's more of a nightgown but the fabric is cotton so I am sure I could pull it off as a long shirt or a dress. I'd have to try it on first and see. It's from the 1960's and it's to die for!

I love sailboats. They are gorgeous.
I haven't seen any for a reasonable price until I found these! I adore them!

I just thought this was pretty. The fox is a really bright yellow. Bold and beautiful! It has a hole in the back but It's more on the side. I wonder what it was used for.

This shirt is for a child but I fell in love as soon as I saw it. It has tiny sail boats and it even has little shorts to match. It's from the 1940's and I want to snatch it up even though I don't have a child just yet.

There was a set of three in these owl cups. Everyone seems to be drawn to owls but I have to admit I am too. The brown bold design is just so pretty! I would love to drink coffee with friends with these cups!

This box looks ordinary but when I opened it, it played music. The design is simple but pretty and the wood is shiny. The inside is simple and I adore it. I've always wanted a music box. I don't know why though!

I saw so much dishware and thermos cups that I loved.
Even some moccasin boots that were one size smaller than my foot. Sad. But I felt good having an afternoon to myself. I don't usually go out and do something like that.
I would have snapped more pictures but people looked at me as if I was a loon. So, I took pictures of my first little finds.

As I said before, the DIY project ideas should be featured soon.
I need to brainstorm before I get too ahead of myself. Not to mention it's so late.
So, having more time would be a benefit to everyone.

Good morning Sunday!
Thank you for reading.

  3. that's awesome that you went by yourself. I'm always thinking I need to do that just so I can go through things from top to bottom...
